The Great Nomad Expedition 2022- Janine Hayde
The decision to take part in The Great Northern Expedition was one of
the best of my life. The Big Blue Flower Company team were incredible
in every way. The countryside was ever changing from the Gobi desert in
the south through arid then lush, tree clad rolling hills to the
spectacular mountains and rivers, complete with ice fields, of the
north. Passing fields of wild flowers, herds of multi coloured horses,
yaks, camels, goats, sheep, cattle and deer - without a fence to be seen!
Food prepared by the team chefs along with some local treats kept us
energized. I'm sure I gained weight! We were well educated in the local
ways and traditions by the crew. How many countries can you travel
through and have your constant questions answered on the spot?
The local people were incredibly accommodating and friendly and
understandably proud of their country.
To get to not just ride but travel long distances on camels, yaks,
horses and REIN DEER was an experience I shall always treasure. If you
want an experience like no other while traveling a country almost
impossible to do on your own, have a 'lets do it' attitude then this
trip is for you. 5 stars.
